About Us
Spirit & Soul is a Chicago-born Southern fusion hospitality concept created by culinary artist Jermaine Abdual, blending food, storytelling, and cultural experiences influenced by the heritage of Black Chicago, Southern roots, and neighborhood nostalgia.This is my ode to Chicago, created with the flavors, vibes, and memories of my childhood, inspired by my grandmother’s kitchen and the city I’ll always call home.Beyond the food, Spirit & Soul is growing into a community-centered hospitality experience rooted in culture, storytelling, workshops, pop-ups, dinner nights, and gathering around the table throughout Chicago.
